The City
Seoul is the capital and largest city of South Korea counting among the world's largest cities. Almost half of South Korea's population lives in the Seoul National Capital Area, and nearly a quarter in Seoul itself, making it the country's foremost economic, political and cultural center.
Seoul is geographically set in a mountainous and hilly terrain. Within the Seoul Capital Area lie five UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Changdeokgung, Hwaseong Fortress, Jongmyo, Namhansanseong, and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon dynasty. Furthermore the city has a very modern architecture with iconic landmarks including the N Seoul Tower, the 63 Building, the Lotte World Tower and many others.
The University
Chung-Ang University is one of the leading private universities in Seoul. It has two campuses with its main campus located in Dongjak District, Seoul, and an additional campus located in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. The university consists of 15 undergraduate colleges and 17 graduate schools offering a large variety of programs in the fields of Business and Economics, Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Natrual Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, Medicine, Pharmacy and Arts. The symbol of Chung-Ang University is the Blue Dragon. It represents the sacredness, authority, freedom, and the eternal prosperity of CAU.
