Why I am available as a mentor for the MCI Mentoring Program

It has always been important to me to give back, pay it forward so to say!! I also believe in the MCI as an educational institution, in the approach and its ability to take feedback and work for excellence. In addition to share my experiences as well as missteps and this is important for growth of any individual. We all have to start somewhere and advice is always important.

My wisdom/my motto

"....Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure..." Marianne Williamson.

When I look back at my time at MCI...

I chose MCI from the internet , just looking for a place I could afford and get a European education. However, what I chose at random became one of the most sensible and growing experiences of my life. Obtaining a Master's Degree was the ultimate goal, however aside from the academic skills i also learnt soft skills. As a citizen of a Caribbean country I was able to be exposed to international students with varying background along with that the strengthen my ability to listen and open my mind to seeing problem and problem solving differently. A new interactive approach of learning from my peers through group work and assignments. The freedom to challenge and question lectures. To push myself beyond the classroom and use what I learnt to think of the complexity of healthcare problems on micro and macro levels.
