The claim for responsible behavior of companies in business practice is popular nowadays. With acknowledging the importance of corporate stakeholders, firms must more pro-actively take into account the expectations in corporate behavior and how to best respond to it. Corporate Social Responsibility basically brings together responsibility needs in regard to financial, social, and ecological issues. In order to sufficiently address all these needs simultaneously, corporate managers are required to balance the various claims and to deal with conflicting aims.
This course sensitizes students for the challenges in decision-making that they will most probably encounter when developing their career in leadership positions. It aims at understanding the key issues and how to systematically establish a comprehensive Social Responsibility Framework for a company. Thus, students gain the capacity to take over leadership positions and to assist companies in behaving responsibly in regard to its economic, social, and environmental impact
