Korean and Austrian musicians unite for an unforgettable night of harmony at the 25th Concert of the Austrian-Korean Philharmonic Orchestra
In 1999, the Austrian-Korean Philharmonic Orchestra was established by the then ambassador and former UN Secretary General, Ban-Ki Moon. The Austrian-Korean Philharmonic has developed to bring young talented musicians from Austria and Korea together, where these young people also could enhance international understanding.
This concert is therefore to
1. Provide talented musicians from Austria and Korea an opportunity to gather concert experience for their musical future and promote cultural exchange beyond this.
2. Through the performance of Korean works, as well as works by Austrian and European composers, allow musicians insight into the respective culture of the other country.
