Community Projects

A working group consisting of GemNova, Verein Sicheres Tirol and avomed is implementing a health promotion project supported by the FGÖ to promote the "Healthy Community in Tirol" in the model region of Fiss, Ladis and Serfaus.The aim of the Healthy Community is to promote the health of the citizens where they live, work and reside - directly in the community. A Healthy Community creates sustainable, communal structures with and for its citizens in order to motivate people to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Market introduction of biodegradable and compostable plant based drinking straws from start-ups in Uganda to the EU Single Market: Applicable legal framework and recommendations for implementation

The main aim of this project was to identify customer groups with the greatest sales potential for grass straws from Uganda, a sustainable alternative to plastic drinking straws.

This project evaluated the cooperation between the six elementary schools and the association Naturpark Karwendel and developed a range of recommendations for action.

Cultural participation is a human right. For people in precarious living situations it is often impossible to participate in social and cultural events. The “Kulturpass” aims to counteract social exclusion.

The project evaluated the communication of the Hermann Gmeiner Academy on the "Harvesting" programme and identified recommendations for improvement.
