Increasing awareness of the „Kulturpass“ in Tyrol

THE CHALLENGE
The main goal of this project was to raise awareness of the “Kulturpass” so that more people with financial constraints have access to cultural participation. Participating organizations provide free entrance for people who are entitled to a “Kulturpass”. To extend the number of corporations new partners need to be allocated.

OUTCOMES
It was possible to involve new partners for spreading information about the “Kulturpass”. Especially noteworthy is the contribution of the AMS to increase awareness about the “Kulturpass”. This contribution was established in the project.

A pluralization of the offer, i.e. the increase in the number of participating organizations, can help to increase the awareness about the “Kulturpass” and the frequency of individual use. As part of the project, potential “Kulturpass” users were asked about their wishes and new partners were acquired.

The research revealed that other federal states cooperate successfully with schools in similar projects. Information strategies in schools could be used to increase awareness of the “Kulturpass” also in Tyrol.

PARTNER STATEMENT

„Our greatest wish would be to achieve a broader and more natural use of the Kulturpass: That the Kulturpass should be valid at almost all cultural institutions, that people should know about it and that its use should become as normal as, for example, that of the Tyrolean Family Pass. Participation in art and culture is a human right that should be open to everyone, regardless of their financial situation, without barriers or stigmatisation. Thank you very much for the incredible commitment and the sparkling ideas of the four students, who have given important impulses for the further development of the initiative.“ - Teresa Waas, Coordinator Hunger for Art & Culture in Tyrol, Managing Director unicum:mensch
