Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • The aim of the course is to develop students’ understanding of the key concepts and principles of financial management. Having successfully completed this course, students will be able to:
    - Understand how the firm’s financial statements and key financial ratios can help managers assess its overall performance;
    - Have a solid understanding of basic components of financial planning, investor relations and important key metrics;
    - Understand how companies make financing and investment decisions and how to incorporate risk and uncertainty in these decisions;
    - Describe leading theories linking risk and return on a stock market;
    - Provide an overview of the current developments in the finance and accounting professions
