Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • - Students know the most common research designs in their discipline and learn how to draft their own research proposals. They learn how to structure scientific papers and are confident with academic writing (e.g. citations styles).

    - Students should be able to understand and apply different tools to advance their academic writing style.

Course contents
  • “Academic Writing and Research Designs” as an introduction will dis-cuss different forms of data elicitation methods (i.e., surveys, experi-ments, interventions), structure of research papers and proposals, coming up with research questions, citation styles, and scientific writ-ing.
