The City

Lima is the capital and the largest city of Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the central coastal part of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Together with the seaport of Callao, it forms a contiguous urban area known as the Lima Metropolitan Area. With a population of more than 10 million, Lima is the most populous metropolitan area of Peru and the third-largest city in the Americas (as defined by "city proper"), behind São Paulo and Mexico City.

The University

University of the Pacific (Spanish: Universidad del Pacífico) (UP) is a private university in the Jesús María District of Lima, Peru. It was established in 1962 by a group of Peruvian entrepreneurs supported by the Society of Jesus. In the past three decades, Universidad del Pacifico has been ranked as one of the most esteemed universities in fields of economics, law, finance, accounting, and business administration in Peru and among the leading institutions of its kind in the Latin American region.
