La Rochelle is located in western France and a seaport on the Bay of Biscay, a part of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the capital of the Charente-Maritime department.
The city is connected to the Île de Ré by a 2.9 kilometres (1.8 miles) bridge completed on 19 May 1988. Its harbour opens into a protected strait, the Pertuis d'Antioche. La Rochelle has approx. 80,000 inhabitants.
In June 2013, the Business School was officially granted for the prestigious AACSB Accreditation.
La Rochelle Business School of Tourism which regroups a Bachelor and a MBA degrees specialized in Tourism within La Rochelle Business School has also been awarded with TedQual accreditation, delivered by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). It is the first and the only school in France to obtain TedQual accreditation on both Bachelor and MBA programs on Tourism Management.

The University
Created in 1988, La Rochelle Business School is a member of the network of the Grandes Ecoles. It is a non-profit organisation supported by the La Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI). Mr. Daniel Peyron is the School's director since 2001.In June 2013, the Business School was officially granted for the prestigious AACSB Accreditation.
