The City


Freising is a town in Bavaria, Germany, with a population of approx. 45,200. It is located north of Munich, near Munich International Airport, on the Isar river and two hills, the cathedral hill with the bishop's castle and Freising cathedral, and Weihenstephan Hill with Weihenstephan Abbey, the oldest working brewery in the world.

The Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences offers 19 bachelor's degree programmes,13 work-study degree programmes and 12 master's degree programmes including 4 international master's programmes in the fields of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Horticulture and Food Technology, Landscape Architecture, Agriculture and Food Economy, Environmental Engineering and Forestry.
