Description
LaTeX is the de facto standard in scientific writing. Participants will learn how to use LaTeX for creating presentations, as an alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint. We will learn about the different styles of the LaTeX beamer class and how to create basic animations within a presentation. Furthermore, we look into the LaTeX packages TikZ ("TikZ ist kein Zeichenprogramm”) and PGFplots, which are used within LaTeX to create qualitatively high visualizations. Finally, we will integrate TikZ figures into a beamer presentation.
