THE CHALLENGE
The aim of this project was to develop a tool for the SCHUSO – School Social Work Tirol which is fast, simple, intuitive and interactively applicable for pupils when it comes to creating awareness for bullying in the school context.
OUTCOMES
In this three-semester project seminar "Stop Bullying - School Social Work Against Mobbing" of the MCI study program Social Work, the student team developed creative and innovative methods for the prevention of bullying at schools and tested these in practice. The student team, supported by the project supervisors and school social workers designed an interactive workshop for pupils, which aims at developing awareness of mobbing dynamics in schools and at supporting pupils in developing problem solving competences for this issue.
Pupils have the opportunity to use their smartphone as a resource and research tool, to reflect on the collected knowledge in small groups and thus become "experts" in this field themselves.
For the project team, the development of the workshop was a challenge that allowed them to grow, generate knowledge and gain practical experience.
