THE CHALLENGE
The students were faced with the challenge of first gaining an understanding of the complex problem and risk situations of NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) younth and then applying this understanding to concrete measures for the design of an employment offer for NEETs in Innsbruck by Caritas Tyrol.
OUTCOMES
Interests & needs of NEETs include

- Appreciation, praise and recognition (I1, I2)
- Heterogeneity (I1; I2) Possible employment opportunities:
Possible employment opportunities should bear the following characteristics:
- be meaningful
- Low-threshold
- Strengthening the self-confidence of NEETs
- Consideration of individuality and heterogeneity through a wide range of choices
- Active participation of NEETs
- Open communication in the context of close cooperation & clearly defined framework conditions: Transparency, visible end product, clear mandate, exact number of people, cost structure, time required.
The qualitative research was conducted using guided individual interviews and analysed by means of a qualitative content analysis.
