Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • This module focuses on why and how organisations transform their businesses with digital technologies. Within the module, students will get acquainted with intellectual tools and practical insights that will allow them to critically assess the next generation digital technologies (focus on AI and Blockchain); identify, assess and prioritize their use cases in organizational context; enable alignment between digital business and operating models; track and measure the success of specific digital initiatives.
    Furthermore, within a group project the students will apply different concepts and frameworks to plan a digital initiative within a company of their choice.

  • • Next generation technologies driving digital transformation and their evolution
    • Business applications of Artificial Intelligence
    • Blockchain technologies, their applications and current challenges
    • Challenges of incumbents with digital initiatives, digital labs, international cases and best practices
    • Alignment of digital business and operating models
    • Roadmap for implementing digital initiatives within the company and success factors
    • KPIs – measuring success of digital initiatives

  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work.
