IV-Scholarships for High-Potential-Students from Ukraine

In order to support high potential refugees from Ukraine in their STEM studies in Austria, the Federation of Industries is once again awarding three excellence scholarships in the amount of EUR 6,000 each in 2025. 

Scholarship holders are expected to organise workshops for upper secondary school pupils and to pass on their expertise in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences or technology (STEM) in an enthusiastic and vivid way. They are supported by a mentor in the didactic and organisational creation of the workshop. However, the realisation of the workshop should be carried out independently.

Application modalities

Applications are open to both regular students on a STEM Bachelor's or Master's degree programme at an Austrian university and non-degree students who are preparing for a STEM degree programme in Austria as part of a preparatory course. Applicants are expected to have a very good command of German (at least level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). A basic requirement is that the applicants have already achieved outstanding results in Ukraine at science olympiads or the competition for research projects of the Young Academy of Sciences. 

The maximum age is 25 years at the time of the application deadline.
