Barriers for blind and visually impaired people in “Außerfern”

Short project description (10-20 words): Our project identifies barriers for blind and visually impaired people and develops solutions to improve accessibility and quality of life for those affected.

Thanks to the professional design and moderation by the student team, we were able to analyze barriers for blind and visually impaired people in the Außerfern region and create a basis for future cooperation.

THE CHALLENGE
A key challenge was data collection, as it was extremely difficult or almost impossible to reach blind and visually impaired people due to the sensitivity of the topic.

OUTCOMES
The focus group identified and documented the wishes, current situation and future needs of blind and visually impaired people in “Außerfern”. The focus group created new networks between the BSVT and other stakeholders.
