Why I am available as a mentor for the MCI Mentoring Program

During my master I was a mentee and I really enjoyed the Mentoring Programma. It was of great value for my thesis and job orientation. My mentor provided me with guidance regarding my thesis and also help me develop some skills for job interviews. Furthermore we talked a lot about job orientation, where to focus on, what my point of interest was and how to look for different jobs. She also used her network to connect me with some very interesting people. Therefore I decided to apply as mentor the following year. Last year I had one mentee and wanted to help her in the same way as my mentor guided me. Even though I started working in february and therefore had not much working experience, I had the feeling that I could provide guidance, from my own experience as a student and now from a working perspective.

My wisdom/my motto

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone

When I look back at my time at MCI...

I really enjoyed the focus on personal development, such as presenting yourself and doing presentations. Furthermore, I think it is a great value of MCI that they include professors from all over the world to discuss certain topics.
